CAMBODIA: Online Certificate of Origin System to be Extended to Thai-Proximate SEZs

The country’s online Certificates of Origin (COs) issuing system is set to be introduced in the Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in Koh Kong and Preah Sihanouk, two provinces close to the Thai border. At present, the facility, which can process and fulfil a CO application within 16 hours, is only available to the SEZ in Bavet, a town close to the Vietnam border, although enterprises in certain designated provinces can access it via the website of their local commerce department.

An official date for the extended rollout of the facility has yet to be announced.
