China Announces Plans for Random Inspections in 25 Business Sectors

Market regulation is to be enhanced, while the unified random inspection system is expected to be more widely deployed, according to a recent statement from the State Administration for Market Regulation.

In line with this, a list of 25 sectors liable to random inspection has been drawn up, with the targetted business activities said to include the supervision/inspection of business registration, direct selling, e-commerce, advertising, product quality and food / catering. In an additional move, an online market regulation information platform is also to be established.
