China Relaxes CCC Requirements
In line with a recent joint-announcement by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Certification and Accreditation Administration, several categories of products are no longer subject to China Compulsory Certification (CCC), while a number of others may be CCC ‘self-declared’ by their manufacturers / other representatives.
In more specific terms:
- 12 categories of products – including certain electric tools, welding machines and copiers – are no longer subject to the CCC regime
- In four categories of products – including certain audio-visual items, motor vehicles and safety parts – an enterprise may opt to self-declare that its products comply with the statutory CCC requirements
