Guangdong Looks to Optimise Greater Bay Area Customs Clearance Procedures

Guangdong has initiated 32 reforms intended to enhance the commercial operations of the province’s ports. The measures include regulating and reducing port charges, introducing a round-the-clock customs declaration service for businesses, optimising the international trade Single Window facility, adopting a one-stop customs clearance protocol for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and establishing a “green channel” for the rapid transit of fresh produce to Hong Kong and Macao.

Overall, the moves are intended to boost foreign trade within the province, while reforming port customs clearance-related administration across the Greater Bay Area.
