MIIT Issues List of Approved Integrated Manufacturing and Internet Development Projects

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has approved 137 projects related to the management and control of product R&D capabilities as pilot demonstration projects for the integrated development of the mainland manufacturing industry and internet services throughout the course of the current year. All the decisions were taken following applications by the enterprises concerned, recommendations by local government officers and due appraisal by appropriate experts. Within the remit of these wide-ranging projects is the implementation of national standards with regard to integrated informatisation and industrialisation systems, the establishment of industrial internet platforms and cyber physical systems (CPS) in several key sectors and the development / implementation of industrial internet big-data application services.

The MIIT’s decisions are seen as broadly coinciding with the objectives set out in the Guiding Opinions of the State Council on Enhancing the Integrated Development of the Manufacturing Industry and the Internet (Guo Fa No. 28 [2016]) and the Circular of the General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on Organising and Launching the Work of Pilot Demonstration Project Application for the Integrated Development of the Manufacturing Industry and the Internet in 2019 (Gong Xin Ting Xin Ruan Han No. 169 [2019]).
