UAE: Online Licence Renewal Available for ADGM-registered Firms in Abu Dhabi

Foreign-invested entities registered at the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) can now renew their registration licences using a new online service on the ADGM website.

Launched by the ADGM Registration Authority, the instant licence renewal allows registered entities to renew commercial licences, make payments and lodge other annual filing requirements online. Dhaher bin Dhaher Al Mheiri, CEO of the ADGM Registration Authority, said: “Business efficiency is the foundation of our processes at ADGM and the new instant license renewal facility is an extension of this endeavour.”

The Authority is responsible for the registration, incorporation and licensing of all legal entities in the ADGM. It also provides support with all government-related services and helps with market entry strategies for foreign businesses.

The ADGM is a broad-based international financial centre, established pursuant to Abu Dhabi Law No. 4 of 2013 in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It has its own civil and commercial laws, and offers local, regional and international businesses a community in which to operate, governed by a world-class legal system and regulatory regime. Since opening for business in late October 2015, it has issued more than 2,100 registrations.
