Mexico Considering New Standards for Pressure Relief Valves

Mexico is seeking public input by 31 January on a proposal (PROY-NOM-093-SCFI-2018) to establish new mandatory standards for pressure relief valves of steel and/or bronze. The new requirements would replace a 1994 standard by establishing provisions in such areas as valve classification, general requirements for valves, materials, marking, instructions and warranties, sampling, test methods and conformity assessment.  These requirements would enter into force 180 days from the date of publication of a final regulation in Mexico’s Official Journal.
