Miscellaneous Canadian and Latin American AD Actions on Mainland Chinese Products
Brazil Amends Terms of Price Agreement for Imported Citric Acid and Certain Citrate Salts. Brazil recently amended the terms of the price agreement for imports of mainland Chinese citric acid and certain citrate salts classified under NCM 2918.14.00 and 2918.15.00 from certain companies. Specifically, the new minimum CIF price under this price agreement has been set at US$1,123.91 per tonne effective 7 June.
Canada Concludes AD Review of Certain OCTG and Seamless Casing. The Canada Border Services Agency on 29 May concluded a review to update the normal values and export prices applicable to certain oil country tubular goods and certain seamless casing exported to Canada by mainland China’s Shandong Molong Petroleum Machinery Co. Ltd. The normal values and export prices determined as a result of this review may be applied to any requests for re-determination of importations of subject goods that have not been processed prior to the conclusion of the review, regardless of the date the requests were received. They also may be applied retroactively if certain conditions are met.
Argentina Issues Results of AD Anti-Circumvention Review of Sunglasses. Argentina has determined that imports of certain sunglasses classified under NCM 9004.10.00 that are produced and exported to Argentina by Taiwan’s Double Hero Tech Incorporated Co. and imported into Argentina by Wald S.A. are not circumventing the AD duty order on subject merchandise from mainland China.
