Miscellaneous Canadian and Latin American AD/CV Actions on Mainland Chinese Products
Brazil Suspends AD Duties on Padlocks. Brazil has renewed for an additional five years its antidumping duty order on mainland Chinese padlocks classified under NCM 8301.10.00, except for padlocks for bicycles, motorcycles and notebook computers. However, the application of the AD measure (US$10.11 per kilogramme) has been suspended and will not be applied unless there is an injurious increase in imports of subject merchandise.
Canada Concludes Re-Investigation of AD/CV Measures on Steel Fasteners. The Canada Border Services Agency has concluded a re-investigation of the normal values, export prices and subsidy amounts of certain carbon steel fasteners classified under HTSCA 7318.11.0000, 7318.12.0000, 7318.14.0000, 7318.15.0010, 7318.15.0042, 7318.15.0045 and 7318.15.0049 from mainland China. Specific normal values, export prices and amounts of subsidy for future shipments of subject merchandise have been determined for all exporters that submitted complete information and for whom the desk and/or on-site verification was considered reliable. For all other exporters of subject merchandise, normal values will be determined by ministerial specification calculated by advancing the export price of the goods by 170 percent.
Co-operative exporters have also been assigned subsidy rates ranging from RMB0.01/kg to RMB0.30/kg. For all other exporters of subject goods, the amount of subsidy will be determined in accordance with a ministerial specification by applying a rate of RMB1.25/kg.
