Asian Logistics and Maritime Conference video

WHAT: The event brings together services providers, including manufacturers, traders and suppliers, for the latest market intelligence on regional business opportunities, as well as trends in logistics, supply chain management and maritime services.

WHEN: 22-23 November 2016

WHO: Manufacturers and suppliers, importers/exporters, wholesalers, distributors and retailers, logistics and maritime services providers, airport and port operators are among those who should attend this event.

More than 2,000 participants from 27 countries and regions attended last year’s ALMC.

Many of the record number of visitors to the Asian Logistics and Maritime Conference (ALMC) 2015 took part in a plenary session covering China’s Belt and Road Initiative, where panel speaker George Yeo, Chairman of Kerry Logistics, predicted trade between China and ASEAN would reach US$1 trillion by 2020

WHY: Discussions this year will focus on several hot topics, including China’s Belt and Road Initiative and the 13th Five-Year Plan, and the latest development in cross-border e-commerce.

The programme will be divided into three main tracks: SCM & Logistics Forum, Maritime Forum and Air Freight Forum.

An exhibition will be staged alongside the conference, featuring about 100 exhibitors, offering e-logistics solutions as well as logistics, shipping and maritime related services.

Customised business matching meetings between exhibitors and participants will be arranged.

WHERE: Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Hong Kong

HOW: The registration form is available to download.

And You Can Quote Me: “The two most important business trends today are the rise of the consumer and e-commerce in the Chinese mainland. Every business needs e-commerce strategies, including one specifically for China. This conference covers both trends, giving us a better understanding of e-commerce opportunities in the mainland. Hong Kong provides a very strong platform for mainland market solutions.” (Frank Lavin, CEO, Export Now Inc, Shanghai, China, talking about last year’s event.)
