WHO: Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council

WHY: Hong Kong is a fashion hub for China and Asia – markets that industry players cannot afford to ignore. In the city, 30% of people spend between one and three hours a day shopping online and residents spend US$25 billion a year on clothes. About 40% of global apparel and footwear sales are in Asia, of which the  apparel market is worth HK$1.4 trillion.

CENTRESTAGE is the key event in the month-long, citywide campaign “Hong Kong in Fashion”, which comprises more than 90 events across the city.

Concurrent events include this year’s Fashion Summit, a two-day conference highlighting best practices, key trends and opportunities in eco-fashion. The focus this year will be on the circular economy.
