WHO: Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council

WHY: As the world of wine continues shifts its focus to the Asian market, Hong Kong’s total wine imports exceeded US$1.5 billion in 2018, when spirits exports totalled US$439 million. The Wine & Spirits Fair represents a robust launch pad and entry point into other Asian regions, such as Mainland China’s booming market with endless opportunities for global producers. As wine culture continues its rise in Asia, demand for fine vintages, knowledge and expertise increases at a healthy rate. Fine wines and spirits are synonymous with hospitality, luxury and modern lifestyles, attracting influencers from a wide spectrum of industries. Exhibiting at the Wine & Spirits Fair directly connects suppliers with hoteliers, restaurateurs, sommeliers and luxury brands, along with trade buyers, wineries, importers, distributors, wholesalers and more. In 2018, there were 1,075 exhibitors and nearly 19,000 buyers from 73 countries and regions.

WHERE: Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre

AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME: This is our third-year participation in the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair to promote our wines. We managed to secure new customers over the past two years. This year is no exception. We’ve drawn strong interest from many buyers. This is one of the best wine fairs in Asia, offering an excellent place to find not only Hong Kong and mainland customers, but also quality buyers from different parts of the world.

Sergio Fiorentini Manrique Export Director/Oenologist, Bodega Cuatro Rayas, Spain, speaking after the 2018 fair
