WHAT: The show features the latest garments and accessories, from high-end fashion to mass merchandise. About 1,500 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions are expected to take part in this year’s event.

WHEN: 16-19 January 2017

Music and fashion may go hand in hand, but rarely do these two industries cooperate on a large scale. Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter 2016 offered a chance for top brands, exhibitors and buyers to connect during a “Fashion of Music” themed event

WHO: Exhibitors will showcase their products under the following zones: Bags, Bridal & Evening Wear, Emporium de Mode and the International Fashion Designers’ Showcase. This year’s event will feature two new zones: Fashionable Sportswear and Denim & Casual Wear.

WHY: The show targets influential buyers from leading department stores, chain stores, independent retailers and buying groups; distributors consider the fair one of their key sourcing channels.

About a dozen runway shows will be held throughout the four-day event, featuring the latest designs from around the world. Representatives from key fashion brands and trend forecasters will offer their insights at seminars to discuss the latest developments in the industry.

WHERE: Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Hong Kong

HOW: The registration form is available to download.

And You Can Quote Me: “This is my first-time to visit Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter to look for apparel and fashion accessories manufacturers. I am deeply impressed with the diversity of products and manufacturers at the show. I have already found six potential OEM suppliers from Zhejiang Province on the Chinese mainland and I’ll visit their factories. In addition, I like the International Fashion Designers’ Showcase and Emporium de Mode, which present a lot of design ideas and directions. I am particularly interested in Hong Kong and Japanese brands. We may consider bringing these brands to the Australian market after discussing with our department store customers.” (Steven Kayalicos, Director, The Product Group, Australia, talking about last year’s fair.)
