International Conference of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine & Health Products

WHAT: This two-day conference and the associated Chinese Medicine zone at the concurrent HKTDC Food Expo give industry participants a chance to discuss the latest developments in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). This year’s theme is TCM Modernisation & Internationalisation: Start from the Greater Bay Area. Professors from leading universities, government officials and industry executives will review topics ranging from the future of herbal medicine and drug discovery to the safety and efficacy of ginseng on fatigue, innovation in old brands and opportunities and risks for the development of the TCM industry in Mainland China.

WHO: Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council; Modernized Chinese Medicine International Association Ltd (MCMIA)

WHY: The conference will be held in Hong Kong, a trading and information-sharing platform for TCM. There will be 16 speakers from five countries and regions (the mainland, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Macao). The Chinese Medicine zone at the concurrent Food Expo will provide participants with additional business opportunities. TCM research and development institutions, pharmaceutical companies, experts in intellectual property valuation and laws, as well as marketing, venture capital and financing professionals are welcome to attend the Expo to meet and network with suppliers and buyers from around the world. The conference, together with the zone, will be an excellent platform to promote TCM-related products, brands and technology, and to explore business opportunities worldwide.
