Japanese Businesses Urged to Consider Hong Kong Advantages

WHAT: “Think Global, Think Hong Kong” is a mega promotion organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council to attract more overseas companies to use Hong Kong’s services platform to tap into the Chinese mainland and global markets. Following the overwhelming response in the United Kingdom, Japan, United States, France, Italy, Canada and Germany, “Think Global, Think Hong Kong” will revisit the city of Tokyo, Japan in 2018. The event will once again present a wealth of valuable information and tremendous opportunities through an array of activities. It will feature a main symposium, various sector-specific sessions and a high-level dinner. Consultation with Hong Kong services providers and business matching meetings will also be arranged. Business missions will be arranged to visit Japan and attend the campaign, covering a range of sectors including food, technology, legal, accountancy and consultancy services, design and creative services, venture capital and private equity.

WHO: Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

WHY: Corporate leaders, small and medium -sized enterprises, services providers and intermediaries, financial institutions, entrepreneurs, economists, academics and opinion leaders from Japan will learn how they can partner with Hong Kong to thrive in the mainland and ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) markets. The promotion is expected to attract more than 2,500 participants.
