Opening Doors to ASEAN

WHAT: The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government has enhanced funding schemes to help enterprises, especially small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), take advantage of trends and seize market opportunities in Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay Area. Enhancement measures include extending the geographical scope of the Dedicated Fund on Branding, Upgrading and Domestic Sales (BUD Fund) from the Chinese mainland to ASEAN countries, as well as increasing the cumulative funding ceiling for enterprises under the BUD Fund and the SME Export Marketing Fund (EMF). At this workshop, speakers will introduce details of the enhancement measures of BUD Fund and EMF.

WHY: The Manager of the SME Export Marketing Fund Unit in the HKSAR’s  Trade and Industry Department Kimmie Wong and the Manager of the BUD Fund Secretariat April Chung will help entrepreneurs, especially those coping with the challenges presented by United States tariffs, realise the potential benefits business with ASEAN countries and the Bay Area offers.
