BANGLADESH: Overseas Stake in E-Commerce Businesses Capped at 49%

Overseas investors are now restricted to having a maximum stake of 49% in any e-commerce business active in the country, a change introduced as part of the country’s newly-adopted National Digital Commerce Policy. The new legislation also specifies that e-commerce vendors must make clear the details of the good they have on offer and their return policies.
