CAMBODIA: Certificate of Origin Fees Scrapped

Businesses are no longer required to pay an Export Management Fee (EMF) when looking to secure a Certificate of Origin (COO). In addition, COOs no longer need to be obtained for goods destined for any country that does not specifically require such documentation.

These concessions are the latest in a raft of recent measures designed to mitigate the adverse impact of the potential loss of duty-free status for the country’s exports to the EU. They follow moves to introduce a streamlined regime for the inspection of export/import goods at the country’s ports and land borders.
