E-commerce Companies in India Take Tougher Line on Fraud

With India's economy entering a more mature phase, a number of local and global online operators have introduced stringent measures to counter fraud and the sale of counterfeit goods. Companies as diverse as Flipkart and Snapdeal (two e-commerce operators selling electronic items, books, clothing etc), as well as Uber (online taxi booking) and Foodpanda (cooked food delivery) have all begun to take a more pro-active stance against the endemic fraud in many aspects of the country's commercial life.
