LAOS: Export-Import Licence Processing Time to be Cut by 50%

Import/export licence application bureaucracy is set to be cut by 50%, with the manual processing time for permits related to vehicles, fuel and diamonds reduced from two days to just one day by 2019. Over the same period, the online processing of such permits via the country’s National Single Window system will be cut from 24 hours to just 12.

The processing of certificates of origin (COO) will be similarly upgraded, with manual applications handled within 60 minutes and e-processing time cut to 30 minutes.
