LAOS: Imported ICT Equipment Now Requires Legal-Compliance Sticker

All Information and Communications Technology (ICT) equipment imported into Laos will now have to bear a sticker attesting to its safety, technical integrity and legally-imported status. The requirement will extend across phone handsets and tablets, with all companies in the sector subject to spot-checks by officials from the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications to ensure compliance.

Any businesses found in violation of this new requirement will face fines of up to Kip30 million (US$3,560).
