LAOS: Minimum Monthly Wage to Increase to US$132 as of 1 May

The minimum monthly wage is set to increase from Kip900,000 (US$108) to Kip1,100,000 (US$132) as of 1 May 2018.

The Laotian government has approved the wage increase amid growing concerns over the rising living costs in the country. Despite this increase, the average wage for manufacturing workers in Laos continues to be among the lowest in the ASEAN bloc.
