LAOS: One-Stop Investment Registration Service Launched

Overseas investors can now apply for an Enterprise Registration Certificate or a Concession Registration Certificate via a new one-stop service launched by the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI). In an additional move, the MPI has also introduced a Unified Investment Application Form, which can be used when applying for any investment-related registration certificate, including those required for general business sectors, concession projects and Special Economic Zones.

Would-be investors can download the required forms and track the progress of their applications via the dedicated MPI website, which also contains details of the country’s trade and investment regulations. These moves are all in line with the government’s commitment to optimising the country’s investment environment.
