LAOS: Phase One of Intellectual Property Registration Portal Goes Live

A new online service for registering intellectual property rights is currently under-development. The initial phase of the system – the IP Information Portal – is now up and running, but is restricted to solely Lao language content and limited functionality. Once fully-operational, all content will also be available in English, including comprehensive information relating to Laos’ trademarks, patent and copyright registration process. There will also be the facility to directly submit registration applications.

No date has yet been announced for the completion of the site, which is currently being developed by the country’s Ministry of Science and Technology.
