LAOS: Updated Investment Laws Set to be Enacted in October
Planned revisions to Laos’ Investment Law are expected to be enacted in October 2016 after changes are finalised by end-August. The changes are said to focus on improving the efficiency and transparency of the investment licensing process.
According to government sources, the amendments are intended to better align Laos’ Investment Laws with its trade and investment agreements with other countries. The country’s investment regulations were last updated in 2009.
