MALAYSIA: Customs Duty Cut on Headphones and Range of Other Electronic Goods

Import tariffs have been reduced or removed across number of electronics goods categories. The changes, which came into effect as of 1 July this year, include an end to the 5% import duty on headphones, while the 20% duty on medical grade projecting equipment has been cut to 17%. In the case of equipment for switching and protecting electrical circuits, the tariff has been reduced from 15% to 13%.
