SRI LANKA: Online System Set to Streamline Company Registration Process

The country’s new online registration system will slash the time taken to incorporate a private company from three days to just one when it comes online in March 2018. The system will allow paperless applications to be submitted, along with all the required supporting documents, while the requisite fees can also be paid online.

The move to digitise the process has been made in a bid to streamline company registrations and to boost start-up numbers. The existing paper-based system will also be retained at present.
