THAILAND: Withholding Tax on Fixed Income Funds Raised to 15%

The withholding tax (WHT) on gains from investment in fixed income funds has been increased from 10% to 15%. The move, which recently received cabinet approval, is expected to generate additional annual tax revenue of up to Baht2.5 billion (US$76.35 million).
