VIETNAM: New Customs E-Declarations Guidelines to Come into Effect on 10 October

New guidelines on the use of e-declarations for imports and exports in Vietnam are set to become effective as of 10 October. The revised protocols are said to clarify various aspects of the process, including the rights and responsibilities of various government bodies, the overall registration requirements and standard processing times.

Of particular importance to Vietnam-based exporters is the move to standardise the information required for the issuance of certificates of origin by the Ministry of Trade or any other authorised body. The new guidelines form part of a government bid to reduce overall customs processing times.
