VIETNAM: Online Customs Management System Adopted at Three HCMC Ports

The country’s automated customs management system is now in place at three additional Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) ports – the Saigon Premier Container Terminal, Tan Thuan and Tan Cang-Cat Lai. The system – the Vietnam Automated System for Seaport Customs Management (VASSCM) – allows importers, exporters and warehouse operators to submit standardised customs forms electronically and provides online access to transit/clearance updates.

The system is scheduled to be rolled-out to all the ports and airports in 11 of the country’s major cities and provinces by the end of September 2018. It has already been adopted at HCMC’s Lotus Port and SP-ITC International Container Terminal, the port of Haiphong and Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport.
