VIETNAM: Origin of Export Goods Set for Stringent Verification

Checks on the exact origin of goods are to be stepped up before exporting as the country looks to ensure it is complying with its international obligations. This heightened inspection regime will see Certificates of Origin – both state-issued and self-declared – subject to various verification procedures, while random spot checks will also take place at production facilities across the country.

Physical checks at facilities assembling and manufacturing goods for export may also be undertaken at the request of the authorities in any importing country.
