Commodity Inspection Requirements Scrapped for Items Under 193 HS Codes

China has scrapped the import commodity inspection requirement and the entry/exit plant product quarantine requirement on commodities under the two HS codes of “4001100000” and “4001210000” since 1 February 2020. For commodities under another 191 HS codes, including “4101201110” and “5105392100”, import commodity inspection requirement has also been cancelled but the entry/exit animal product quarantine requirement is retained.

Full details including the adjustment of customs supervision measures for the relevant commodities can be found in the Announcement on Adjusting the Customs Supervision Requirements for Commodities Under 193 HS Codes (No. 9 [2020]) recently issued by the General Administration of Customs.
