Guangxi Launches International Trade “Single Window”

An international trade “single window” system formally went online in Guangxi on 30 December, 2015, allowing data sharing among customs, inspection and quarantine, border control and maritime authorities with a single entry of declaration. It facilitates declaration by multiple parties at multiple points, the single entry of data for sharing, and a single paperless approval feedback and release.

The “single window” system will help reduce the time for declaration and release of ships from the previous seven hours to two hours. Data entry for goods declaration will be reduced from the previous 3-5 hours to 0.5-1 hour. Saving two-thirds of the time cost of the declaring company, it substantially increases the administrative efficiency of the goods examination department at ports and enhances their competitiveness.
