Mainland Work Permit Requirement Relaxed for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Residents

Any duly-accredited resident of Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan no longer requires a work permit when undertaking employment on the mainland, according to a recent announcement by the State Council. Subsequent to the announcement, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security is now looking to ensure the appropriate regulations relating to employment, social security, unemployment registration, labour rights and other associated issues as they apply to such individuals are swiftly put in place.
