New Implementing Rules for Food Safety Sampling Inspection

In order to further regulate the sampling of food for safety inspection, the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) has recently issued the Implementing Rules for National Food Safety Sampling Inspection (2018). The new legislation lists the 33 types of products that require sampling inspection for food safety. These include grain products, edible oils, fats and fat products, and condiments. Unified requirements are stipulated for the applicable scope of the rules, the types of products, basis for inspection, sampling and inspection, and principles for passing judgment and drawing conclusions.
