New Opportunities for New Energy Vehicles

Vigorous promotion of supply-side reforms has brought new opportunities to China's new energy vehicle development. Against this backdrop, new energy vehicles manufacturers have joined the bandwagon in supply-side reforms to seize the market by innovative products.

As an important industry of the new economy, new energy vehicles are one of the industries earmarked for national priority development from now onwards. Various manufacturers distinguished themselves to offer a variety of new energy vehicles. Domestic passenger car industry leader Yutong Bus offered its fleet of new energy vehicles for use during this year’s sessions of the National People's Congress (NPC) and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conferece (CPPCC), catching widespread attention of delegates and industry players.

Serving for the first time during the NPC and CPPCC sessions, the 10.7-metre long Yutong E10 pure electric passenger car is equipped with lithium iron phosphate battery and features Yutong’s self-developed ReCtrl technology, with a high degree of integration and modularisation. The battery charging time of the E10 is about 1.5-2 hours for a range of 150 kilometres.

China's economy is entering a “new normal” of slower growth, structural optimisation and change of growth engines. High-speed economic growth is promoted through change of growth engines. Industry players reckon that only enterprises similar to Yutong which have new technology, proprietary intellectual property rights and brands can give rise to the core competitiveness, to promote restructuring and upgrading of traditional economy.

Engaged in new energy vehicles for a long time, Yutong Bus now has a number of core technologies. Of the more than 60,000 vehicles it sold last year, new energy models accounted for 20,000 units. Yutong’s E series pure electric passenger cars attained the advanced level of domestic industry in safety, battery performance, electronic control technology and vehicle reliability, and the battery can provide super long warranty period of 5-year quality warranty and 8-year extended warranty.

Iaddition to new energy passenger cars, the high-end commercial vehicle Yutong T7 also debuted during the two sessions. The model is said to be first of its kind to have reached the national standard in half-load rollover tests.
