New Procedures Announced for Accreditation of TCM Practitioners

As of 20 December this year, any individual who has studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) under a master/apprentice scheme – or has accumulated considerable skills in the sector following a number of years in practice – may apply to be assessed for the relevant physician’s qualification. Any successful applicant will then be accredited as a TCM (Special Skills) Physician by the presiding provincial department.

These new procedures were issued by the National Health and Family Planning Commission in compliance with the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Traditional Chinese Medicine.
