Updated Registration Requirements for Overseas Infant Formula Milk Manufacturers

New requirements related to all overseas manufacturers of imported infant formula milk products have been issued by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China (CNCA):

  • All overseas manufacturers of imported infant formula milk products must re-register with the appropriate mainland authorities every four years
  • All applications for continued registration must be submitted to the CNCA one year prior to the expiry of the existing registration and must be conducted via the designated authorities in the manufacturers’ home country (or territory)

In the case of any overseas manufacturer of infant formula milk products registered prior to the end of 2014, the deadline for the submission of applications for continuing registration has been extended until the end of 2018.
