Zhuhai Looks to Boost Local Cross-border E-commerce Resources

New measures relating to the development of the Zhuhai Comprehensive Cross-Border E-Commerce Pilot Zone have been announced by the Zhuhai Municipal Bureau of Commerce.

In more specific terms, two particular priorities have been identified:

  • Establishing a Public Service Platform
To this end, a one-off financial award (not exceeding RMB1 million (US$ 150,000)) will be made to the originators of any application that is subsequently formally adopted in one of a number of service sectors, including customs clearance / declaration, finance or express delivery logistics.
  • The Development of a Cross-border E-commerce Cluster
In order to help facilitate this, a one-off financial award (not exceeding RMB2 million) will be made to the operator of any industrial park that attracts more than 20 tax-paying cross-border e-commerce-related tenants with a combined e-commerce transaction volume in excess of RMB100 million.

The above policy measures will remain in force until 31 December 2021.
