Argentina Bans Imports of Certain Insecticides

Argentina will ban effective from 1 July the production and importation of azinphos-methyl and methamidophos as well as any products made from these active principles. Argentinean authorities believe that these two organophosphate insecticides are toxic to humans, birds and beneficial insects. The use and commercialisation of subject merchandise in Argentina will be prohibited from 31 March 2017.
