Argentina Lowers Duties on Gas-Powered Lorries

Argentina recently lowered to two or five percent its most-favoured nation duty on lorries and certain other motor vehicles and engines classified under NCM 8407.34.90 (two percent duty), 8701.20.00 (five percent duty), 8704.31.10 (two percent duty), 8704.31.90 (five percent duty), 8704.32.10 (two percent duty), 8704.32.90 (five percent duty), 8704.90.00 (five percent duty) and 8706.00.10 (two percent duty). This duty reduction applies to motor vehicles powered by, or incorporating engines powered by, liquified natural gas, compressed natural gas or biogas. It is limited to a maximum of 800 lorries incorporating conventional internal combustion engines designed to use gas as a fuel, 200 engines for gas-powered lorries, and 200 chassis with a minibus gas-powered engine.
