Argentina Postpones Certain Content Declaration Requirements for Textiles, Apparel and Footwear

Currently, producers and importers of textiles and apparel in Argentina must provide a declaration with the fibre composition of their products, while footwear producers and importers must provide a declaration with the constituent materials. Sworn statements of product composition (DJCPs) are generated through the Integrated Foreign Trade System (SISCO) and are valid for 180 days from their date of acceptance. The Argentinean government recently postponed until 1 January 2020 the requirement to (i) provide the product identification code in the sales document together with a description of the product, and (ii) attach to the sales document a digital or paper copy of the DJCP accepted by the relevant authorities, which must remain in the possession of the buyer of the goods to be shown whenever required.
