Argentina Rescinds Criterion Value on Various Products

Argentina on 25 January announced the rescission of the criterion values in place on poly(ethylene terephthalate) in granules, certain polyester staple fibres, certain fibreglass fabric, certain flat-rolled products of stainless steel, certain plastic moulding machines, non-wireless keyboards, and mice, trackballs and other pointers/indicators.

Imports with a declared value lower than the criterion value shown below required payment of a guarantee equivalent to the difference in duties to be paid on the declared value and the criterion value. The list of products subject to criterion values is frequently modified and covers imports from a range of countries. An updated list of current criterion values is available at http://www.afip.gob.ar/Aduana/valoracion/valores.criterios.pdf.
