Argentina Suspends or Rescinds Technical Requirements for Various Products

Argentina’s Secretariat of Commerce has suspended for a 120-day period the application of the mandatory technical and metrological requirements for cold drinking water metres and compressed natural gas measurement systems for vehicular use. The National Institute of Industrial Technology (Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Industrial, or INTI) has also been tasked with developing within 60 days a proposed modification to the metrological requirements for compressed natural gas measurement systems for vehicular use.

Separately, the Secretariat of Commerce has rescinded Resolution 356/1998 setting forth technical and metrological requirements for instruments for the control of wheat milling measurements, as well as Resolution 89/2012 setting forth technical and metrological requirements for natural gas measurement systems with an ultrasonic metre.
