CPSC Recalls Various Products Made in Mainland China

The CPSC has announced the following recalls of products made in mainland China.

Log Splitters
YTL International has recalled about 1,460 log splitters because the log splitter’s welding on the tongue box assembly can crack and cause the log splitter tank to disconnect from the rest of the unit, posing an injury hazard. This recall involves model year 2018 County Line brand 40-tonne hydraulic log splitters with model number YTL-016-93. The log splitters are black and grey with County Line printed on the hydraulic cylinder. Units with serial numbers ranging from SP20LSP400118060001 through SP20LSP400118060728 and SP20LSP400118080001 through SP20LSP400118080728 are included in this recall. The model and serial numbers can be found on a label located on the beam of each log splitter. These products were sold at Tractor Supply Company stores nationwide from August through October 2018.

Baby Carriers
LÍLLÉbaby LLC is recalling approximately 6,600 baby carriers because the sliding chest-clip strap can detach from the shoulder strap, posing a fall hazard to the child in the carrier. This recall involves LÍLLÉbaby Active Series-Pro 6 in 1 in Space Dye Cobalt and Space Dye Grey baby carriers as well as Active All Seasons in Slate baby carriers. These carriers can be worn by the caregiver with the baby strapped into the front or back position. Each carrier has a yellow coloured tag on the front neck support, outside of the carrier and on the back, chest clip pad, both of which have “LÍLLÉ” printed in black lettering and “baby” printed in white lettering on the label. These products were sold at LILLEbaby.com and Amazon.com from September through October 2018.

HoMedics USA LLC has recalled about 3,000 giraffe nightlights because the small feet on these nightlights can detach, posing a choking hazard to small children. This recall involves the HoMedics MyBaby Comfort Creatures Giraffe portable and bedside nightlight, model MYB-N100GIR. The affected nightlights have a date code of GP230118 or GP290318 located on the underside of the product. They are yellow with brown spots and a white underbelly, weigh less than one pound, and measure about three inches long by five inches wide by seven inches high. They can be powered by an AC adaptor or two AA batteries and were sold at Hinda Incentives, Power Sales and on-line at Amazon.com and HoMedics.com from March through October 2018.
