CPSC Recalls Various Products Made in Mainland China

The CPSC has announced a recall of the following products made in mainland China.

Shower Doors and Panels
Foremost Groups Inc. has recalled about 700 glass shower doors and panels because the pivot hinges can fail and cause the glass door panel to separate from its frame, posing impact and injury hazards. This recall involves the pivot hinges on all Cove and Suave models of shower doors and panels. The recalled pivot hinges were delivered with shower doors and panels that are made of glass and have a silver, brushed nickel or oil rubbed bronze metal frame and a door handle. These products were sold at Home Depot, Hoods Discount Home Center, Menards and other stores nationwide, as well as on-line at Build.com, Houzz.com, Wayfair.com and other websites, from January through July 2018.

Shower Seats
Clawfoot Supply LLC (doing business as Signature Hardware) is recalling approximately 7,200 shower seats in the United States and about 80 shower seats in Canada because the aluminium hardware supporting the seat can corrode, posing fall and laceration hazards. This recall involves wall-mounted, folding shower seats made of teak wood slats joined together by support rods that extend from two wall mounting brackets. The recalled shower seats have brushed nickel, chrome or oil-rubbed bronze finishes on the support rods and bracket covers. They measure 16 inches wide by 13.5 inches deep, with a width of 11.75 inches between the centre of the wall mounting brackets. SKU number 917726 is printed on purchase receipts and email order confirmations. These products were sold by Signature Hardware by telephone and on-line at signaturehardware.com between January 2011 and July 2018 as well as by Barclay Products Ltd. through its showroom in Gurnee, Illinois, between October 2013 and June 2017.

Children’s Jackets
Meijer Distribution Inc. has recalled about 25,000 children’s hooded jackets because the zipper slider can detach from the hoodie, posing a choking hazard to young children. This recall involves Falls Creek Kids branded children’s zip up hoodies sold in five colour styles in sizes 12M,18M, 24M, 2T,3T, 4T and 5T. “Falls Creek Kids” and “Made in China” are printed on the inner collar and the tracking number (MAY 2018 17677, MAY 2018 17506 or AUGUST 2018 17932) is printed on a sewn-in label on the inner side seam. These jackets were sold exclusively at Meijer stores nationwide from June through October 2018.

High Chairs
Skip Hop has announced a recall of about 32,300 convertible high chairs in the United States as well as 8,600 convertible high chairs in Canada because the legs on these high chairs can detach from the seat, posing fall and injury hazards to children. This recall involves Skip Hop’s Tuo convertible high chairs with charcoal grey or silver/white with clouds fabric. The high chairs can be converted into a toddler chair and have a reversible seat pad, a removable tray, a five-point harness, beechwood footrest and legs. The recall involves style numbers 304200 (charcoal grey) and 304201 (silver/white with clouds) as well as date codes HH5/2017, HH6/2017, HH7/2017, HH8/2017, HH9/2017, HH092717, HH030518, HH05182018, HH05312018, HH092917 and  HH010518.
