CPSC Recalls Various Products Made in Mainland China
The CPSC has announced a recall of the following products made in mainland China.
Children’s Sleepwear. Aegean Apparel Inc. has issued a recall for about 500 children’s sleepwear garments because they fail to meet the flammability standard for children’s sleepwear. This recall involves children’s robes and pyjama pants. The robe is light green with a grey and orange cat print with cat ears sewn onto the robe’s hood. The hooded, long-sleeved robe is made of 100 percent polyester micro fleece and has a belt sewn into the back as well as two front pockets. The pyjama pants are 100 percent polyester in white with a black and grey dog wearing a Santa hat print. Both garments were sold in children’s sizes small through extra-large and have “Kings n Queens by Aegean Apparel” on their label. They were sold on-line at www.aegeanapparel.com from November 2016 through October 2018.
USB Charging Cables. Target Corp. has announced a recall of about 90,000 USB charging cables because the metal around the cord can become electrically charged if it contacts the USB wall charger plug prongs while charging, posing shock and fire hazards. This recall includes the heyday 3 Foot Lightning USB charging cables used to charge cell phones and other electronics that use lightning connector charging cables. The metal charging cable is purple, green and blue iridescent and has the word “heyday” printed on the connector. Model number 080 08 8261 is printed on the side of the product’s packaging. These products were sold at Target stores nationwide and on-line at www.target.com from June 2018 through January 2019.
