CPSC Recalls Various Products Made in Mainland China

The CPSC has announced the following recalls of products made in mainland China.

Bistro Chairs
Ross Stores has recalled about 2,300 bistro chairs because the chair’s frame can break, posing a fall hazard to consumers. This recall involves 37-inch tall Bronze Hammered bistro chairs. The chairs have a round seat and a heart-shaped backrest, and SKU number 400167187741 can be found on a tag attached to the chair or on a sticker on the underside of the seat. They were sold exclusively at Ross Stores nationwide from March through May 2018.

J.C. Penney is recalling approximately 5,400 pairs of shorts because the patches on these shorts can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. This recall involves Okie Dokie Denim Patches Shortie shorts. These jean shorts have a rainbow and a slice of watermelon patch on the front of each pocket with tan stitching along the seams. The shorts were sold in toddler sizes 2T through 5T and item number 324-8191 and date code 12/17 are printed on a white tag on the inside back seam. The shorts were sold exclusively at J.C. Penney stores nationwide and on-line at www.jcpenney.com from February through June 2018.   

Charging Pads
Hirsch Gift has issued a recall for about 21,000 charging pads because they can overheat while in use, posing a burn hazard to consumers. This recall involves CloudCharge Qi wireless charging pads given as a promotional giveaway to employees and customers of various companies from February through May 2018. The product name and model number T4706 are printed on the bottom of the product and select company promotional logos and artwork are printed on the top. The recalled chargers are circular and have a white plastic bottom with the top having various promotional artwork. They measure about four inches in diameter and are half an inch tall. A white USB power cable is included along with a wireless receiver adapter. Each charging pad and accessories are packed in a white plastic box with a clear lid, measuring approximately five inches by five inches by 1.25 inches. This recall involves only one production lot (Version 2) of the charging pad.
