CPSC Recalls Various Products Made in Mainland China
The CPSC has announced the following recalls of products made in mainland China.
NEMO Equipment has recalled about 7,500 recliner chairs in addition to the 15,500 recliner chairs that were recalled in February 2018 because the plastic joint supports attached to the legs of these chairs can break, posing a fall hazard. This recall involves the Stargaze Recliner, Stargaze Recliner Low and Stargaze Recliner Luxury lifestyle camping chairs. These portable swinging and reclining outdoor chairs have an aluminium frame and a black and grey monofilament mesh seat. They weigh between five and seven pounds and were sold in four colours: birch leaf green, graphite, verdigris (teal) and Sedona (red). The chairs came in a black padded carrying case and have the model name printed on the pocket on the inside right side of the seat. The NEMO name and logo is attached to the back of the seat as a stitched logo. The chairs were sold at REI and specialty outdoor stores nationwide, as well as on-line at Nemoequipment.com and REI.com, from November 2017 through May 2018.
Harbor Freight Tools is recalling about 25,000 handgun safes because they can open without the use of a key or combination upon impact, allowing unintended access and posing a risk of serious injury to children and others. This recall involves two models of 0.17 cubic foot capacity electronic handgun safes sold under the Union Safe Company and Bunker Hill Security brand names. The recalled safes are dark grey and have the SKU number (62984 or 61581) printed on a permanent label on the door. The brand is printed on the permanent label and moulded into the combination touch-pad panel. These safes were sold exclusively at Harbor Freight Tools stores nationwide and on-line at www.harborfreight.com from November 2014 through February 2018.
