CPSC Recalls Various Products Made in Mainland China
The CPSC has announced a recall of the following products made in mainland China.
Office Workstations. Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Company has issued a recall for about 76,000 office workstations because they can malfunction and cause their gas cylinders to separate and forcefully discharge, posing an injury hazard. This recall involves desktop sit-stand office workstations sold under the brand names Adas Elevo Sit-to-Stand Desktop, K&A Manufacturing Helium Surface, 3M Precision Standing Desk, Inscape Rockit, Neutral Posture Ergonomics StandUp X1, Workrite Ergonomics Solace Desktop, Volante and IMOVR Ziplift. The black or white workstations can be used in a sitting or standing position. They measure about 36 inches wide by 24 inches deep and have two handles and two hydraulic gas pressure cylinders that enable the workstation to be raised or lowered. Affected workstations can be identified by the lot number label located on the inside of the right hand top surface bracket of each unit. Affected lot numbers contain the last three letters “VOL”. These products were sold by Knape & Vogt authorised sellers nationwide, including on-line at eBay, Amazon.com, Staples.com, imovr.com, ergodirect.com, hafele.com, ergonomicaccessories.com, egoexperts.com and officeanything.com, from October 2016 through February 2019.
French Fry Cutters. Meier Distribution Inc. has announced a recall of about 5,800 french fry cutters because the cutter’s blade can detach, posing a laceration hazard. This recall involves Grand Gourmet stainless steel french fry cutters with black rubber pads at the base. The silver cutters came with two interchangeable blades, one with 36 holes for thicker fries and another with 64 holes for thinner fries. Model number 54078 and UPC 7-13733-70625-4 are printed on the product packaging. These products were sold at Meijer stores in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin from February 2018 through February 2019.
